The Shining Light Awards

We support local beneficiation through various activities of which the Shining Light Awards (SLA) is one. The competition was started in 2008 to identify jewellery design talent in Namibia and create a platform where designers can showcase their creativity to the world, as well as allow for career opportunities in the diamond industry.

Miss Namibia beauty pageant

Another major project that we take pride in is our contribution to the Miss Namibia beauty pageant. As a national event, the Miss Namibia Pageant presents young aspiring Namibian women the opportunity to represent their country as ambassadors and provides a springboard for careers in modelling, fashion and allied industries. NDTC supports the pageant to ensure that the dreams of these young women are realised.

Social/community development projects

The NDTC also provides financial and material assistance to different schools around Namibia. Annual contributions are given to the Okaundja Old Age Day for the purchase of basic necessities such as food and toiletries for the Okaundja community and surrounding villages. This project has received over 600 bags of maize meal, mattresses, blankets and many basic necessities over the past 8 years.
